For nearly a decade, Matt Moscona has been a staple on Baton Rouge radio with experience in nearly every format on the dial.
A New Orleans native who moved to Baton Rouge in 1989, Matt is a graduate of Catholic High School where he was an All-State football player … Academic All-State, that is. His playing career was relegated to intramurals and club sports when Matt passed on a handful of offers from smaller schools to play football, opting instead for the college experience. It took one year at Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana, (Yes, where Rudy went) with bland food and bad weather for Matt to transfer to LSU and pursue a broadcasting career.
While at LSU, Matt began his radio career as a promotions intern and was quickly promoted to produce an afternoon drive news talk show. It was during this time at WIBR that Matt’s career began to blossom. Matt spent nearly five years as the executive producer of a news talk radio show, while hosting his own news talk program on occasion. He also produced a news talk television show which is still running is syndication in 72 cities nationwide. Matt also worked in the Westwood One news department as a contributor to their national news wire service. While working with Westwood One, Matt served as a correspondent for the BBC in London during Hurricane Katrina. He even found time to DJ on four different music stations.
In 2007, Matt accepted an offer to make the jump into sports radio in Baton Rouge. After all, who could pass on an opportunity to cover LSU and the Saints on a daily basis? In February, 2010, "After Further Review" debuted and has consistently been a top-rated show in the Baton Rouge market.
In 2012, Radio Ink Magazine named Matt among their list of the Top 30 Local Sports Talkers in America.
Matt offers fair, honest opinions while providing his audience with a fresh perspective on local sports issues.
Matt is also a contributing writer for BayouBengalsInsider.com and and has been featured as a frequent guest on radio shows across the country.
